The Command Palette

Instead of hunting through the rail and menus, press ⌘K and type what you want.

Press ⌘K. A box opens with the hint Type a command… (fonts, pages, terminal). Type a few letters, use ↑ and ↓ to choose and Enter to run it. Esc closes it.

Commands are grouped. With the box empty you see the groups; as soon as you type, you get one list of matches.

  • Panels: open a left-rail panel by name: Pages, Assets, Theme, Stylesheet, CMS, AI Chat, History, Audit, Docs, Environment and Cloud. There is also a Typography entry, so typing “fonts” finds it.
  • Editor: Go to canvas, Go to chat view, New chat, Open code editor window (⌘3), Show Elements, opening and closing the sidebars and rail panel, Style panel and Inspector panel.
  • Actions: Insert element…, Find element…, and Turn on X-ray / Turn off X-ray.

The words you type match more than the label: “typeface” finds Typography, “secrets” finds Environment.

Select an element on the canvas and press ⌘P. This opens a smaller palette with only what you can do to that element: insert inside it, find, duplicate, wrap, unwrap, create a component, copy, cut, paste, select its parent and delete. See Adding Elements.

Yes: ⌘P searches files there and ⌘⇧P creates one. See The Code Window.

All shortcuts are in Keyboard Shortcuts.
